Mrs. Sanders will soon begin testing for those students interested in the Gifted & Talented Program.  Testing days for each grade level are as follows.

3rd--Sep. 17, 2009, 2nd--Oct. 8, 2009,  1st--Nov. 12, 2009,  K--Dec. 10, 2009,  5th--Jan 13-14, 2010 (Stanford 10),   4th & Non GT 5th--Feb. 17-18, 2010,   3rd--Mar. 11,2010.

   Approximately two weeks before the testing date, Ms. Sanders will send home a flyer to all students in that grade level.  If you are interested in having your child tested, please complete a Permission to Test Packet, and return it to Ms. Sanders no later than one week prior to the testing date.  Copies of the Permission Packet are available in the office, or by clickon on the link above.

Accelerated Reader is a way to encourage your children to read more.  Tests are available to be taken on the computer either in the lab or in the classroom, and points are earned for each test.  Periodically we host contests to encourage participation, and during the May bookfair, we allow the children to pick out books based on their total point accumulation.  

Library books with red dots on the spine are AR books, and have tests available.  For summer and at home reading, we've provided the current lists of titles below.
