Polk PTA

The Fair runs March 8-11 all day, and we’ll be open until 8 pm on Tuesday night (during the 2^nd grade performance) and Thursday night (during Fine Arts Night). 

Be sure to stop by outside the cafeteria and stock up on the newest books for your child to read during Spring Break.  There is still time to volunteer an hour or two, especially during the day to help the younger kids fill out their wish lists. 

We’ll be running contests as usual, and goodies and posters will be available for sale.   Please contact Jill Johnston at 587-8414 if you can help out,

Time is running out for you to order your Polk Yearbook for this year.    

The cost is $30 per book.  Lots of our students are on several pages, and you don’t want to miss out on this special memory book!  The books were so popular last year, and we only had a limited supply of extras, so if you’d like this memento, please send in your check today!

Make the check out to Polk PTA, write y\earbook on the line as well as your child’s section.  Yearbooks will be delivered mid-May.

Polk 2^nd Graders will do their annual performance this Tuesday night, March 9^th from 6-7 pm.  There will be no PTA meeting before the performance.  Our PTA general meeting is on Thrusday, March 11^th at 10 am.  We’ll be reviewing nominations for board members for next year as well as conducting other business. 

We are looking for groups or individuals who would like to preform that evening. Bands, choreographed dance, cultural dances, musicians or singers (no karaoke, there will be a room for that).

If you are interested in preforming, please call Tina Armstrong @ 443-5322. Parents, we still need volunteers to work in the art and music activity rooms that night.
